The new high-speed boat service connecting Danang City and Ly Son Island officially set sail on Tuesday, March 30th.

Managed by Phu Quoc Express JSC, a transport company, the boat came into operation as a quick response to the increasingly high tourism demand between these two prominent tourist destinations in South Central Coast Vietnam.

Danang – Ly Son high-speed boat is recorded 44.7 meter-long and has a capacity of up to 612 at a time. This newly-built boat can reach the highest speed of 33 nautical miles per hour. Thus, the total transfer duration between two destinations is only over 2 hours

Regarding schedule, in the first phase of operation, there are two return trips a day. It costs 590.000 VND ~ 26 USD per person/one way during weekdays and on weekends, the fares can vary from 720.000 VND – 980.000 VND ~ 32 – 43 USD/person/one way.

Previously, transferring between Danang and Ly Son is pretty difficult because travelers have to drive 150km and then take a boat to Ly Son Island. This high-speed boat features a new product to boost tourism recovery and attract more locals as well as foreigners to Central Vietnam post-Covid-19 pandemic.
